We feel great when we get all the love, attention and appreciation from our family, friends, colleagues; but is that enough? Definitely not in these times. All this love is fine but are you popular on social media?

Nowadays, especially with GenZ, it doesn’t matter how many friends you have in the real world, what matters is how many followers you have on social media, are you the top voice, are you an influencer, are you doing collabs and endorsements? If you have all this, oh…you have arrived!

Ah, the sweet taste of success at a young age!

Becoming famous at an early age is an increasingly common phenomenon in our society. Of course who doesn’t like the attention….it’s glamorous, it’s exciting but how many of them are able to handle this attention. Can’t forget your basics! The attitude of a GenZ is an entire different ball game and their approach to things is unfathomable.

Mental Gymnastics

So if we look at the positives, it opens doors to several opportunities; which probably the earlier generations didn’t have, you can showcase your talent, pursue your passion and obviously get financial success too. But can you imagine the kind of impact it has on your mental and emotional well-being? There is so much peer pressure and in this entire fame game, arrogance can become the hero while humility and respect for others can go for a toss.

Remember where you started!

No matter how high you soar, never forget your roots. I’m sure you all remember the Koffee with Karan episode with Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra last season. When Chopra was asked about some question about Bollywood, she claimed that she didn’t know to which Kapoor immediately snapped by saying “Don’t forget your roots! This is where it all started.

As you rise swiftly to the top, it's easy to let arrogance creep in, but this can lead to a rapid downfall. Arrogance can alienate you from others and create a false sense of invincibility.

Success is not just about your business growth and you being featured across publications; it’s about appreciating the little victories which were possible because of the people who supported you when you were a nobody. Success isn't just about reaching the pinnacle; it's about maintaining balance and understanding that every achievement is a step in an ongoing journey.
